Hi authors! We are thrilled to let you know that, thanks to our executive liaison Nick Phillips, we have just brought on an executive who works in the Book to Screen department of powerhouse agency CAA. She specializes in adapting books into films and TV shows and she is now available through Stage 32 on our executive roster! She will read a 5 page synopsis of your book and information about you as a writer and then have an hour long call with you to talk about the potential for adaptation. If you are interested to learn more I wanted to share the link here: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage/buy?id=66&exec=2119&genr.... Excited to share this with you!

Random question, but what if I've written an entire first season of a TV show on spec? Is that something Nick would be interested in? All the hard work is done. :)

This is awesome, Amanda Toney. I've worked with CAA for years and they were critical partners in our bringing the first season of GENIUS from book to screen. This is such an amazing opportunity for authors in the Stage 32 community!

Hi Matt Dycus - congrats on getting all that work done! Typically when you sell a TV show the buyer only picks up the pilot, then the season is mapped out in a TV writers' room. What's your genre TV show? I can recommend some great TV execs that work with us to have them read it and give you notes or hop a consultation call with you.

Yeah, I've heard that before - write a pilot and then the writers room takes over. I just loved the story and I enjoyed writing it, so I wrote 600 pages. It was contagious.
Crime Thriller, 1 hour drama, 11 episodes, female-driven character study. The protagonist is 100% an anti-hero. Think Walter White and Lorelai Gilmore had an alcoholic daughter in a Steel Mangolias-type town.
