Top Movie Soundtracks ??

"Soundtracks can make or break a movie. What are your top movie soundtracks and why do they stand out to you?" as for me i always keep going back to this instrumental from pelican brief (: something about it just makes my hair stand up & i also love Stanley Tucci... what about you guys ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGEOpcn_8Os

Ashley Renee Smith

I'm obsessed with the soundtracks from Into the Spider-Verse, Empire Records, O Brother Where Art Thou, Almost Famous, Moulin Rouge, and Guardians of the Galaxy! There are others, but those are probably my most played. I even have the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack on vinyl.

Jeff Briggs

One of the most underrated soundtracks of my era is the collaboration of Bryan Adams and Hans Zimmer for the Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron animated film. I took my son to see the movie in theaters in 2002 when it first came out and I was completely blown away by the music. I often play this soundtrack front to back straight through. there isn't one bad song on it.

Maurice Vaughan

"You've Got a Friend in Me" by Randy Newman from "Toy Story," Chase Cysco. It's catchy, it's playful and fits "Toy Story " perfectly, and people know right away it's from "Toy Story."

Jeff Briggs Hans is hands down one of the best to do it !! my older sister worked for a record label back in the day called BUG and i had a chance to meet him and his manager they were supper nice and down to earth ! and i asked him who were some of the people he was inspired by and he told me a guy named era new born , you should look him up he has some cool songs as well

Chase Cysco

Maurice Vaughan i think everyone felt that song !!! so deep but so simple at the same time (:

Brian Gunter

Maurice Vaughan anything Randy Newman is an earworm. Love his stuff!

Chase Cysco that’s an interesting question. I think I have favorites of the moment but never an actual “always at the top” list of Soundtracks. And any list were I to do one has to have John Williams excepted from it because he’s in a category all his own IMO. And I tend to go in phases of composers more than specific songs or cues.

Like right now, I can’t get enough of Benjamin Wallfisch’s scores. Or Ilan Eshkeri. before that, probably Ramin Djawadi & John Powell. That’s just the most recent kicks for me.

Chase Cysco

Brian Gunter Benjamin Wallfisch has so much skin in the game , i loved what he did on The Invisible Man .... these composers are geniuses when you really think about it ( ;

Leonardo Ramirez

Love this question Chase Cysco - For me, it's Empire Strikes Back, Brainstorm, ST2:The Wrath of Khan (Surprise Attack). The last one made me want to play the French Horn. Finally...MofSteel/Zimmer

Simon Foster

Rogue (2007) by composer Francois Tetaz. Just so evocative of the Australian outback.
