Hi everyone! I recently completed PA Bootcamp a few weeks ago and while I’m looking for jobs as a P.A. now (I love watching and learning about everything that goes on behind the scenes to make one project) and am excited to start that, I’ve recently been looking over Location scouting and how one would get started in that area! Please let me know if there are any ways to dig deeper into how to start a career there or if you happen to be one and need a mentee or assistant, I’d love a chance to learn by doing and watching :)

Congratulations on completing PA Bootcamp, Rebecca Soileau!
Stage 32 has a Job Board you could check (www.stage32.com/find-jobs). It's updated regularly.
Also, here are some blogs about networking that could lead to connections and opportunities for you: www.stage32.com/blog/tags/networking-41
Hope these things help you find PA jobs!

Hi Rebecca. I have two suggestions for you outside of this platform. I don't know where you live, but it there is a film school nearby, probably your local University, if not a private one, you can sign up to volunteer for crew and get on the job training you can put on your resume. That's how I learned production assistance, even got an acting imdb credit.
The other suggestion I have is joining Staff Me Up. It's full of crew jobs all over the US. You get three free applications and you will be able to network with others who worked on the same shoots.
Also, what Maurice said.
And I encourage you to head to the Introduce Yourself Lounge and introduce yourself as it is Introduce Yourself Weekend. You may connect with members in your city.

Good advice, Suzanne. And thanks, I didn't know about Staff Me Up but will check it out myself.

Wishing you all the best, Rebecca. Some of the best advice I got in Film School [UT Austin] was to take all the different jobs you can as the more you know about the various aspects of production the more valuable you'll be on any production. It sure paid off for me over the years and really comes in handy when you're in any aspect of producing/production. I've done every job on a film set / production office except Lighting Director-Gaffer and Sound Mixer. And it's almost always been a fun learning experience and a way to meet great people that will often become your long-time friends. Good luck!
