Are Actors Wasting Time and Money At Acting Schools

Are actors wasting time and money attending acting school? This is a very complicated question and a difficult decision. Watch the video https://youtu.be/bZNskI1IUtw to help you decide which is best for you.

Were you a theater major, studied at a conservatory, worked with someone privately or took local acting classes? If so, without naming the places, please share your experiences with us.

Fantastic advice, Aaron Marcus!

So glad you enjoyed the video.

I have done all of the above Aaron Marcus . Some experiences were better than others. I agree with all you said. And audit, audit, audit. Always audit.

Aaron Marcus

Yes, I agree. I always suggest that people ask to audit a class. Some will allow people to sit in, others won't, but asking is always an essential question. Thank you so much for sharing.

Hi Aaron, I was very lucky to train with a theatre acrtess, who took me under her wing and prepared me for drama college to give me a head start. I loved my time at drama college and learned a lot.

Aaron Marcus

Sounds like you had a wonderful experience and learned so much at your college. I am curious, was the focus on theater only or was auditioning for film and TV also taught? Thank you so much for sharing.
