This logo is for my production company that I am planning to start . It will be independent but I need money for equipment I found online and for LLC and etc. I have a job but it’s a slow burn for me. I really need to get this going. I need to know if there is some special ,legit crowdfunding platform , a specific person you guys know that can help get it rolling. How much do I have to pay for an LLC. What else do I to pay. I see from your profile you're located in Illinois. Research LLCs for your state, including the cost of setting one up. There will be law firms that can assist you with this. When it comes to equipment you'll have to weigh the cost of owning it with insurance or renting it. Alright, get working on the computer and phone to find out how to do it in your state. Go for it!!

We paid about $1000-$1500 per LLC in California; that includes the accountant doing the paperwork. You also need a business bank acct. do not mix your personal bank savings.
Sadly, you just need money to get stuff started; cant really be broke at start. I paid for all my equipment- HD cameras, editing, lights, grip stuff. Sold it when I was done for like .25 cents on the dollar. Equipment gets dated real fast.

First, I am not a lawyer or accountant. But I have two businesses, one a DBA, the other an LLC.
Ask yourself if you need an LLC or would just a DBA do?
Two advantages of an LLC:
1) You can have partners, each with shares of the company.
2) Company money and personal money are kept separate in the event of lawsuits.
Cons:
1) LLC costs more to set up.
2) Also costs more to do taxes annually.
3) Any money you put in or take out must be done by all members in proportion. So if you have one partner and you each own 50%, you must each match when you put money in and when you take profit out. Might not be a bad thing, but it does make bookkeeping tricky sometimes.
If all you want is a company name and a way to open a bank account in that name, DBA would be simpler. You can switch to an LLC later.
FOR YOUR LOGO:
Make sure it looks good when reduced to the size of a coin. To me, yours looks like it has some thin lines that will get lost.

I formed (3) LLC's in the State of Texas. I used Rocket Lawyer. An LLC was approximately $300 to file. I also paid for Registered Agent Fees which was $111. They assisted with the EIN number. And I opened up my own bank account.
