Screenwriting : I wrote something yesterday.. by Micke Askernäs

I wrote something yesterday..

Yesterday, I got a story in my head.

Not a big one, just an idea. A mall idea.

So I decided to make a microproject.

I brought out my Canon EOS, R, fit it with a wide angle lens, rearranged my living room somewhat, took out my Neewer LED lights, rigged them to what I thought would be a good base and set up my motorized camera slider and positioned everything.

I recorded the visuals, then while it was importing into my computer, I totally rewrote the story, grabbed my good large membrane condensator mic I've had for 25 years, brought it into the bedroom and totally failed to record the voice over. Second try, I got it to work and actually use the correct microphone when recording.

In with all files in Premiere, did a rough cut, liked what I saw, selected a piece of music I thought was fitting, and then spent most of my time trying to get the whole thing color graded, as I am a novice at that.

I am very happy I changed the story. I actually had a different story in mind when recording the visuals, and then thought, make I can tweak this a bit more, make it more interesting, and I think I did.

I hope you like it, and for the short amount of time I spent with it, I am quite happy with how it came out.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Great job on the film, Micke Askernäs! It's just a man sitting and thinking, but you made it interesting! The only note I have is I don't think the music fits the movie.
