Hey folks! I've just joined the Stage 32 community in order to help folks navigate my former life in politics. I spent over a decade working at everything from campaigns to party committees to the White House. While I'm new to the Hollywood community, I'm an expert in bringing some realism to your political TV and feature scripts.
I'm in the UCLA Development program now and am hoping to be able to start working with writers who are interested in my former career.
Happy to help however I can! Feel free to reach out!

I have one question related to my new script, and you may be the right person to answer that. A question related to politics in USA rather than in my native country. So feel free to contact me.

Nice to meet you, Lucas Acosta! I'm not working on anything political at the moment, but when I am, I'll definitely ask for your insight.

I was a Political Science Major in college and do my best to stay current with political events. I'd be happy to discuss more of what you're looking for. My focus was on International Relations and Comparative Politics.

Haven't seen the Denzel version because I heard it bombed. Enjoyed the Sinatra version. I once read the book. It's a bit more satirical than the film as I recall. Among my faves in this genre are The Conspirator, All the President's Men, and The Ghost Writer.

@Lucas I may hit you up for next script I do USA based. Thanks for your post. Small salient nuggets from employees who lived an experience can spin pearls over hours of google research.

I had heard about the book titled 'The Manchurian Candidate',' however, in my absolute ignorance, I always thought it had to do with some political novel in faraway Manchuria. Until somebody who looked at my novel 'Reprogramming The President' noted a similarity - the insertion of an Advanced Logic Chip in his head. So then I watched Denzel Washington's movie, twice. I was interested to find out more about how to write the script piece involving the fast-moving outside broadcasts covering the main event..
Actually never watched Indiana Jones. Mike Childress The Novel and Script detail a new approach aimed at the American Election Campaign process. It also predicts where Ukraine is or was yesterday. Anyway, a short 3-minute clip is on https://youtu.be/Fra1UaoASNg
Click and paste. The direct link may not activate from Stage 32. Why? I don't know.

@Pat Alexander I'm definitely more of a television guy myself but on the films side I love All the President's Men and Primary Colors. On the TV side I'm up for a West Wing, Madam Secretary or The Good Wife rewatch any day

The Dead Zone and Manchurian Candidate are both awesome. My faves have always been Dave and American President!
