Hi Ellison Kk - that's a great question. I think fashion is so sewn into the fabric of our society (sorry for the pun) that it's a 360 degree relationship with film. FIlms often set fashion trends (Marlon Brando's white T-shirt, Annie Hall's women's suit), are about fashion (Prete-A-Porte, The Devil Wears Prada) and costume designers use fashion to help tell the story (the costumes in Queen's Gambit are modeled after chess pieces as Beth goes from a pawn to a queen). Runway shows can be multi-media events. Tom Ford directed A Single Man and Nocturnal Animals. These are just a few thoughts. The connectivity is vast IMO.
