Maurice Vaughan

Congratulations on winning this year's TV Comedy contest, Matt!

Richard Buzzell

ON THE LINE sounds like an intriguing concept and you know how much television executives are always looking for that.

Richard Buzzell

Just to be clear, my comment was facetious. Television execs don't want anything intriguing. What they want is another replay of The Odd Couple. Good idea to work that into the pitch.

Matt Hyams

Thank you Maurice and Richard! Truly appreciated! And Richard, I hear you - although I do think TV is getting better and better.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Matt Hyams.

Richard Buzzell

Matt - Just to be clear, I'm not kidding about working an Odd Couple angle into your pitch. Max could engage with a bubbly young physicist, his polar opposite, who assists him on his quest.

Matt Hyams

actually, funny you should bring this up, in ensuing episodes (were this to get on TV), there actually is an odd couple dynamic that develops between the protagonist and another character.

Richard Buzzell

Matt - Run with it! Run with it hard from the get go. You can't have too much Odd Couple.
