This is Danny Range, screenwriter/director, public speaker, martial artist, and proud Italian from Warren, Ohio (Youngstown area. Yes, I DO know of 56 different Italian restaurants and there REALLY ARE multiple pizza places on each street). I currently live in the land of the Buckeyes in Columbus but want to move to LA because it's my destiny to be a filmmaker.
I've been on/off Stage 32 for about four years and what's crazy is that I got my entire film education from this website! Well, that, and lots of networking/contests. I was scared shitless to invest in the classes but everything I learned on here from pitching to story structure is legit, and, as I walk into more serious networking meetings as I go, I'm noticing it seems like this site taught me how to hold my film conversations really well.
I'm currently selling my award-winning pilot/series and have upwards of 50 different feature ideas I've been playing with. Completing my fifth WIP as we speak and can't wait to travel to Colorado, then Egypt to write the next two!!! Just got back from AFM in Vegas as well! But I feel writing in a hotel by the pyramids will put those trips to shame, man. For sure lol I'm going to start saving for it and can't wait.
I'm excited to get to work on my new projects, and to continue to prove the world wrong about this series I've been building for years!
When I get done making this series, my name will be synonymous with the words "Don't give up."
That is my soul's purpose.
I'm totally open to meeting new people and hope I do meet some of you from this site on my writing/directing journey!

That's great that you got your entire film education from Stage 32! I knew things about screenwriting and the industry before I joined Stage 32, but this platform has had the biggest impact on my career learning wise and networking wise.
Congratulations on winning the awards for your pilot/series! Hope you sell it soon!

Pat Alexander What takes me out that way is that I'm going to tour the pyramids and use the experience to create an awesome feature. How come you were out there?
(Also, I see you're the contest coordinator. Psychological Crime TV OWA with Barry as a Comp, that one is a great fit for my project I submitted!!!! Hope you guys see it the same way.

Danny Range i went to coach soccer tactics to rural Egyptian youths at a soccer camp in the desert! also checked out the pyramids along the way! they're very cool! And for sure, i'll keep an eye out for your script in the Psychological Crime TV OWA -- i love Barry
