Greetings, everyone! It's time for another Introduce Yourself Weekend...and the challenge my posts bring. Five points to whoever can figure it out without Googling. This one might be a little easier...or not. Fair warning...had to edit this one a few times. Was off to a ROCKY start.
And now for THE SET-UP:
My name is Doug Kayne. I'm a comedian, writer, and actor hailing from the Los Angeles area. I perform regularly with my unscripted sketch comedy group Those Four Misfits (www.ThoseFourMisfits.com). I wouldn't say we're THE GREATEST comedy team out there, but our shows are a lot of fun. And every show is different!I've also written the first season of a sci-fi comedy series, Going Commander, which we're preparing to shoot a teaser scene for before the end of the year (pending any obstacles). It almost seems like I'm working on this series TWENTYFOURSEVEN. I would literally BLEED FOR THIS series to get made. Time to KNUCKLE down and get this made! I'm including a little teaser trailer with this post.
I've also done web series and theater, where I've played such varied roles as Captain Hook, The Beast, The Cowardly Lion, and Ben Gunn. Oh...and I also won a "Best Improvisor" award for improv, being one of the UNDISPUTED award-earners that year.
I felt like THE CHAMP when my very first screenplay, Romantic Comedy 101, was made into a made-for-TV movie. Definitely felt like the GOLDEN BOY for a while.
I look forward to collaborating with all sorts of cool creative people. I would love to work with people and devote my BODY AND SOUL to get great stuff out there. Feel free to hit me up!

Hi, Doug Kayne. Hope you're doing great! The theme's boxing movies. The title threw me off at first. I thought the theme was gonna be about Beyoncé.

Awesome trailer, Doug Kayne . Kudos for your many talents. I have the greatest admiration for comics who improvise. Takes a good dose of self-confidence and live-streaming creativity.
