Introduce Yourself : Hello from a perky actor/writer/director/producer. by Shannon Cudd

Shannon Cudd

Hello from a perky actor/writer/director/producer.

Born and raised in Southern California, I’ve always believed in the magic of storytelling to make the world kinder and more connected. As a self-proclaimed extroverted introvert, I embrace the spotlight when necessary—or when it pays the bills! After surviving the Hunger Games of theatre school at Chapman University, I found my voice onstage, backstage, and eventually at my desk as a writer.

In Los Angeles, I’ve kissed Santa in a commercial, recreated Ghost’s pottery scene with The Bachelor's Pilot Pete, and brought countless characters to life. Off-screen, I’ve flourished as a playwright, theater director, and producer, championing bold stories that stir the soul.

Writing became my solace during the great Covid pause, with published works spanning LittleThings, Fast Company, and the OC Register. At home, I’m the doting “fun aunt” to my cousin’s kids and a proud cat mom to Lucky, my attic-rescue sidekick.

I am currently producing an original horror television series and would love to connect with bold investors.

Welcome to the community, Shannon Cudd. It's great to meet you. Congratulations on producing an original Horror television series for Cineverse/Screambox! What's your series about if you're able to say?

Shannon Cudd

The Unknowable is best described as what would happen if The Twilight Zone, Twin Peaks, and Skinamarink collided in a chilling cosmic fever dream. It's the wildest faux crime docu-horror series you’ve never seen. A Screambox-backed masterpiece with surreal mystery, nightmarish visuals, and a haunting Rod Serling-style narration, this show will redefine fear. Each standalone episode dives into twisted tales across the 20th century, blending decades with dreamlike dread. It's not just a series; it’s a universe where the unthinkable becomes reality.
