For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Indie Filmmaker Jamin Winans and his producing partner, Kiowa Winans, they make extraordinary, whimsical indie films truly in the auteur style. They are the team behind INK (2009), The Frame (2014), and now... Myth of Man (2024)!
Here is the Official Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MnOG-sHz4U
Question: How much do you think they made this film for?
It IS self-funded, just BTW...
And post-production took 3.5 years...
And even though there is a MASSIVE cast, they employed a skeleton crew.

Here's the lesson of Jamin's Indie Films: THE PRODUCTION TRIANGLE - Jamin is a MASTER at making films CHEAP but SPECTACULAR. This formula, however, is NOT fast, which means it takes patience and perseverance. So... what kind of films do you finance?
Also, how do you think these kinds of filmmakers are making their money back? Because they DO want to make their money back, so they can make the next one!
Be sure to watch the film on the big screen and leave reviews where you can! It's fantastic! *The link for the show times are in the show notes of the trailer above.

The trailer doesn't say much though it is very artistic with a poetry all of it's own in this small sampling. The visuals are striking and thought provoking with a mix of apocalyptic dread and enlightening optimistic hope. Definitely a film that, if its whole is as impressive as its trailer, will be a much talked about film from visionaries exhibiting a new and exciting direction in storytelling.
