Hello! I wanted to say hi and Happy New Year. I've been in the industry since 2018 and I'm happy to be here. Not sure what to say. I am an actor but I also work on the production side. Looking forward to meeting new people in this industry I dearly love!

Welcome to Stage 32, Willis! How's the production scene faring in New York since the strikes?

Tennyson Stead - It's not great. 2022 was a great year. 2023 was a stuggle. We still haven't gotten back to the level pre-strikes. It's really hard out here.

Willis Williams It's been like that in Los Angeles, for sure. Georgia too, I hear. Obviously the reasons and the solutions behind this are a whole different conversation... and in the meantime, thank you for giving me the snapshot!
If you're working a lot of production in and around New York, any chance you know a stunt guy named Greg Schwartz?

Tennyson Stead - It's BAD. Like people leaving the industry after 20+ years bad...I don't know Greg Schwartz but to be fair, there are a lot of stunt performers in NY. I know maybe 9.

Willis Williams Yeah, here too. But having worked in film finance, my thought is that this crash has been a LONG time coming. The strikes and the pandemic and the techbro streamer management are all catalysts, but this is the endgame of a destabilization that started in the 80's and 90's.
