Hello all!
Just a quick question; when pitching a series, should your synopsis just be comprised of the pilot episode, or the entire series overview? I'm trying to consider how much information to include on my two page pitch haha!

Personally I have a synopsis of the pilot script but point out the brief intros of locations and people the main character will meet along the way. I let them know I don't just have an idea for them, but a story.

Hi, Maeve Conlon. Great to meet you. I haven't done a written pitch for a TV series yet, but Stage 32 has a written pitch example for the show THE BOYS. I can email it to you (or you could email success@stage32.com for the sample).
And here's a recent post about TV pitch meetings: www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting/Pitch-Meeting-Now-What

ScriptHop have written “the” book on how to format Series Bibles and Pitch Decks – i’m not saying this is the-last-word on how to do it, but it’s certainly worth a read
– the download is free: https://www.scripthop.com/Book

You will include a brief synopsis of your pilot as well as an overview of the first season of your show. This is so the reader can see how the audience will get hooked at the start and why they'll keep coming back for more.

I've heard about what Ewan Dunbar is talking about before and it sounds like a good way to do it. I have no experience in the matter, but would love to receive that pitch example from THE BOYS as well, Maurice Vaughan :) We're trying to cook something up here, locally with international partners. :D
