Introduce Yourself : WHAT IF...this is a good way to introduce myself... by Doug Kayne

Greetings, everyone. I'm back with another introduction with a theme. If you can figure out the theme for the post, you get yourself five shiny points. IF YOU WERE THE LAST person to leave, make sure you turn off the lights when you do.

I guess I could ask you POINT BLANK if you wanted to work together...but we don't know each other yet. So, let me go ahead and mention a few things about myself:

My name is Doug Kayne. I'm a writer, comedian, actor, and teacher. I hail ALL THE WAY from Los Angeles, California (not DETROIT). As I'm writing this, it's Saturday night. I would have done it THE NIGHT BEFORE, but I was a little busy.

I'm a member of the unscripted sketch comedy group, Those Four Misfits (www.ThoseFourMisfits.com). We've had live shows going on for a few years now, as well as quite a few sketches online and EAGLE EYE viewers have also caught us on the Scriptwriters Network Roku channel.

My very first screenplay, Romantic Comedy 101 aired on E! in 2002 and got me into the Writers Guild. I've written (and starred in) web series and online sketches.

I've appeared in short films, web series, plays, and just recently filmed a scene for a movie that is in post-production, working for a director and other actors I worked with 10 YEARS ago.

The fires out here (along with a few other things that came up) put a pause on my next project, shooting a teaser scene for the sci-fi comedy series I wrote, Going Commander. The goal is to shoot it within a few months. Would love to be CROSSING that off my to-do list. I'm really excited about it, but I'm PLAYING IT COOL. I attached a short little teaser video for it.
