Producing : Investors dipping their toe... by JR Rodriguez

Investors dipping their toe...

I have a few potential investors say they'd like to be part of my project NEVER BREAK THE CHAIN, but they want to see me put together a team. I've sent inquiries to producers I think fit the project but no replies. Any suggestions? (Deck and Script available)

Good to here this for you, JR Rodriguez My only advice, be careful who you attach. A lot of new producers or IP holders attached (and I mean cement) people of no value to a project and it can become excessive baggage that can ultimately hurt the project. I cannot tell you how many times over the decades we get a decent project that we're interested in only to find out a producer or holder of said project has attached a team, that as a production co. or more seasoned producer aren't of any interest. Just do keep that in mind that when you do wrangle a team together, you are NOT promising them they're attached unless they are people with serious credentials. Producers don't want to be given projects in the developmental phase to see who everyone from an AD to a DP that is being forced upon them. Best of luck, sir. Glad to hear it's getting traction.

Thank you, Sydney... I've done the Michelle Alexandria one... Still, hoping. I can only afford so many...

Thank you, Shane....Yeah, I vet the hell out of folks before I contact them. And in a lot of cases, I've been really choosy who I contact.
