Hey Everybody, it's my favorite time of the month again on stage32: Introduce Yourself Weekend.
Time has been flying by and I'd love to hear what everyone's been up to.
I'm Jeffrey B. Wayne, screenwriter for the soon to be released to streamers near you – “City Rush 4” and "Inventing Paradise". You can my most recently released to streaming projects “San Francisco Cowboy”, and “Pakistani Chainsaw: A Love Story” (both viewable on Tubi).
I'm particularly psyched as my newest Hassan Zee project Title TBD has just wrapped filming. "Twenty two year old CHRISTOPHER is still reeling from the loss of his mother as he works a less than fulfilling job as a maintenance man at a San Francisco boutique hotel. Everything changes when he talks a beautiful young woman, MARA, down from jumping off a pier to her suicide. But while Christopher is finding solace in this budding relationship, something is haunting Mara, threating to possess her body and soul. Can Christopher discover the source of haunting? Can their love overcome Mara’s possession?"

Hi Jeffrey! Your newest project sounds really interesting. I once met a guy who lived near the San Francisco bridge where a lot of suicides have occurred. He spent a great deal of time working with volunteers to spend time at the bridge to try to help people who were suffering. In your story is Mara suffering from personal issues leading to her suicidal thoughts or is it the haunting leading to her suicidal thoughts? Either way it sounds like a really great plot that would allow you to get invested in the characters.

Amanda Toney That is so interesting. I did hear that about the San Francisco bridge. In the context of the story, Mara has become suicidal because she can't escape the haunting and sees that as her to maintain some control over her body and spirit - until Christopher intervenes.

Hey Jeffrey B. Wayne, happy Introduce Yourself Weekend! It’s always great to see your updates. Congrats on all the incredible momentum, especially wrapping the new project with Hassan Zee. That logline is gripping. Love the emotional depth paired with a supernatural twist.
You’ve built up such an impressive resume, and I know so many writers in the Stage 32 community would benefit from hearing more about your writing process, collaboration experiences, and any networking insights you’ve picked up along the way. I’d encourage you to pop into the Screenwriting Lounge more often to share those tips and continue the conversation. It’s a great space to connect and pay it forward while building even more meaningful relationships here.
Thanks for continuing to inspire the community with your drive and creativity, can’t wait to see what you do next!

Thank you Ashley Renee Smith , that is some good advice. I've met a number of excellent people on here that I've been able to collaborate or network with. I'll give a shout out to fellow stage32 member Solomon Unoke, I just recently ready his script "The Fairy of Odudo Rock" and that script is polished and ready to go! So for anyone out there looking to help bring a solid project to life, reach out to him.
