Very interesting read and excited for all of the films who qualified and that will get made in California. The overall incentive still pales in comparison to New York and others and it should be way more competitive. One of the issues a SAG-AFTRA board member shared with me recently is that there is such little production in Northern California and south of LA that it's been hard for Newsome to get the whole state behind a greater incentive that concentrates into LA. But it's Hollywood for cryin' out loud so hope they get it done! What are your thoughts? https://deadline.com/2025/03/california-tax-credits-movies-1236330406/

Very good to see the indie film allocations. This has been a big detriment to filmmakers as the funding went to the major blockbusters.
