This is Exciting News!! What do you think about this?
John Wick lives…for real. After just announcing that Lionsgate would return to the world of John Wick with an animated prequel film, the studio is in development on a fifth John Wick movie - “Chapter 5” -with Keanu Reeves again set to return to the billion-dollar franchise.
Lionsgate is currently in development of the film, with Thunder Road producers Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, franchise director and producer Chad Stahelski, and star and producer Reeves.
While Lionsgate wasn’t done with Wick, having already released the series “The Continental,” soon releasing “Ballerina,” and being in the works on a video game, a fifth Wick film was never a certainty, in part because…well….SPOILER…Reeves’ Wick died at the end of the film and we even saw his tombstone. Seemed pretty final. But even death can’t stop John Wick.
The most recent film in the franchise, “John Wick: Chapter 4,” took in over $440 million at the worldwide box office, with each film outperforming its predecessor. The franchise as a whole has earned over $1 billion at the global box office. The spinoff film “Ballerina” releases in theaters June 6 and stars Ana de Armas playing a character that first appeared in the third Wick film (Reeves has a cameo in that movie too).
And is it was announced earlier in Lionsgate’s presentation, there’s another Wick spinoff called “Caine” that will star Donnie Yen reprising his character. That film begins production this summer. And that’s not all! Another series is in development, “John Wick: Under the High Table,” that Stahelski and Reeves are executive producing.

I'm excited for John Wick: Chapter 5, Mark Deuce! I thought there was enough story for another movie when they announced John Wick 4 was the last movie. I'm looking forward to seeing The Continental and Ballerina too!

Do we really need another John Wick film? I've watched the first three in their entirety and part of the fourth. They're great but I've reached critical mass with the film franchise. It's like "The Walking Dead". After watching the first season, I had enough of zombies getting killed in extremely gross albeit creative ways and zombies feasting on humans. Personally I've had my fill of Wick dispensing with hundreds of Stormtroopers-like foes. It was wicked fun for awhile but enough is enough.
Lee I got a headache watching 4, it was too much action.
YES!! Lee Eide
