As client's budgets shrink and animation crew rates become more expensive, it is becoming harder and harder to stay afloat. Been contemplating using AI art generators, but if it is going to infringe on copyright, I'm not using it. Did a search for ethical AI art generators and came across this article. How near is something like this?
I would still hire artists to do the work, but I would love if they incorporated AI in their workflow to speed up the work and make it more affordable, IF the AI art generator is ethical. Does anyone know of any generators that are?
It's not about ethical. It's about quality. I checked them all, there is no AI generator that can give me the panels with the quality art that I want. You need a real HUMAN artist!!! Although, sometimes, after communicating with AI so long that it starts to know what kind if feel you're looking for, it's almost hits all the right spots, ALMOST:
"SERIAL TWINS"
MEGAN: Hamill...?
KATHRYN: Probably... but the Bodyguard was clearly mutilated by AI, it tried to shove his head into his ass - poor guy never saw it coming!

What if you got the quality but it was infringing on artist's copyright to do so?

... Then you have a problem!

The short answer Kevin Jackson is that AI technology is not ready. Totally understand the costs but in hiring real artists, we also gain allies in the process who will come back and work for you later if treated well. You can't put a price on relationships.

I've toggled with the thought of using AI in my workflow to spend up the process and cut cost however it's more so for internal use than for client projects. I agree with Leonardo Ramirez AI is not ready, the cost is always the biggest pain point for both client and myself but the last part. Allies, AI cannot replace the allies and relationships you create working with creatives
