The Writer's Journey by Christopher Vogler is always a good read.

This Lady is Good! http://www.stage32.com/profile/61553/tawnya-bhattacharya - I think you are bright enough that mentoring would work. Maybe you can do the screenplay for my next Novel. (A High-school-college romance)

Eric Raphael Harman

By the Way, most of the "How To Books" are crap.

Sandra Campbell

The Writer's Journey is actually a good place to start. It's very insightful and helps you understand why certain stories resonate with audiences.

Norman Welthagen

If you're looking for screenplay guru books then I'd only recommend 4. 2 story builders, The Writer's Journey and Save the Cat. Although please remember to not listen to structure too closely. It'll drive you insane. I promise. Best reference book I can recommend is The Screenwriters Bible and for your rewrites get a copy of "Your Screenplay Sucks."

Laura Tabor-Huerta

I did not see this one. This is one of my faves. http://www.katewright.com/Books.html I think having about 5, one for the format, is good. Many are good, many bad.

Sandra Campbell

I agree, Norman. The Screenwriter's Bible helped me a lot when I first started.
