Dogme 95 Style Filming...

I've always had a respect for the restrictive dogme 95 process and the kind of films that can be made without too much pretence and in a pure form. the Film i'm developing now i'm torn and the proposed budget may benefit from it any thoughts on it? am i asking for a ticket to the looney bin?

Of course this is just personal opinion, so... I do not like movies that use this style because of lack of budget. I feel most people totally misunderstand what Dogma95 actually is. It was an aesthetic and not a style. And most of the movies were not "no-budget" - they were all low budget by "Hollywood" standards but still far beyond what most movie makers can afford. von Trier's "Dogma95" film was made for $2,5000,000. I say go for it! But none of that really matters. If you want to make a movie that follows all (or some) of the rules I think you should do it. Any challenge is a good challenge.
