Introduce Yourself : Are you sure you wanna write for a living?? by Steve Freeman

Hi, I'm anonymous and I'm a comedy writer for TV and film and currently a staff writer on a kid's sitcom on a major cable network. We're in the middle of production and it's been a 60 hour work week so far and I'm on no sleep. We'll be on set tonight til 9 and there's talk about coming in this weekend. I love what I do, but we shoot til December and then I'll spend the next 2 months worrying until I find out if we're getting picked up, while struggling to finish a pilot and a feature and wondering whether or not I should make any big purchases. I've forgotten what the beach feels like. Just sayin', it's not as glamorous as many people think.
