Filmmaking / Directing : The List. by Ryan Harris

Good day to you all, I was sat down one sunny afternoon skimming through all the wonderful profiles on this site, then I had a sudden thought, most of us are on here for the same reason in a roundabout way. We want to make or contribute to making movies, be it for the credit, the cash or the pure and simple love of filmmaking. Then I started to wonder, with all these talented people in one place, brought together on one project, an amazing film could be made without the daunting thought of all the red tape or brick walls of rejection that is normally associated with the industry. What I am getting at here is, if for example I did a call out for a huge list of people from boom operators and stunt men to directors, actors and producers, would I get enough people to say, yeah you know what for the love of filmmaking and the credit on my resume with a nice tidy little percentage of what ever this experimental film would make, i'll give it a shot, count me in. So people if you think you are one of those people who would give up or make time to make a film using only our own resources, equipment and knowledge, then inbox me or even better comment on here stating YES I'M IN! (P.P.S I am thinking a short film to test the water then a feature if all goes well.)
