For the longest time I used Sony Vegas, then I upgraded to CS Collection and never went back. So what do you use? Final Cut, Adobe, Windows Movie Maker?
I'm a fan on final cut pro X, people see it as a black sheep for some reason but i like it! Been working with the final cuts for a little while now and I like the design and arrangement, helps me focus a little more on my project!
I use Premiere Pro CS6 for my personal projects and Avid for most of my freelance work. I have a custom set of keyboard shortcuts that I transfer between any application that I use to make the transition between programs easy. Also, FCPX is probably the speediest program I've ever seen in terms of basic editorial, but it's so damn buggy, even in its current version.
I use Final Cut 7. I used to work with Adobe before I went to film school.

CS. While I have done a couple of projects on Avid and FCP 7, FCP is a buggy mess.
