Distribution : Four-Walling a Feature Film by Donna R. Clark

So, I've been submitting a recently completed feature into many film festivals but I'm also wanting to rent theaters for public screening events. It's so expensive though, and I can't really keep up with the demand since we do have many fans who keep asking about it, and waiting to hear back from festivals with be at least a couple of months! I don't want our fans to forget about it either! My question, because I do want to find a distributor eventually, I didn't know if it was a bad idea to go ahead and screen it around? Would this look bad for distributors? Any suggestions, or ideas? Thanks!
