Hi all! I'm Ella. In 2011 I dove headfirst into low-budget filmmaking; I've since made two short films and am currently in production on a third, as well as developing a web series and a feature. Some of my favorite themes/topics include giftedness and mental health, troubled youth, and interpersonal power dynamics. I'm interested in both comedic and dramatic approaches to these subjects, and tend to incorporate some elements of both comedy and drama into most of my work. I own a Canon 5D Mark II and a full range of EF lenses, various lower-end lighting and support equipment (Cineskates, Glidecam, etc.), and an editing studio with FCPX and DaVinci Resolve. I plan to invest in some sound equipment and another camera, probably a Blackmagic Cinema Camera, in the coming year. Depending on the production I'll rent additional equipment as necessary, but I like having my own so I can go it DIY when the spirit moves me. I'm here in the Stage 32 Lounge because I'm eager to forge connections with people who love to tell great stories and aren't in it for the money. I haven't made a dime so far, and while I'd love to do so one day I won't be disappointed if I never do - as long as I'm always creating, as long as I'm putting something out there that makes people think and feel in ways that they didn't before. I hope to meet talented people of like proclivities and vision, so that we can work together and help each other get our stories out there to the world. If you want to know more about me, you can check out my IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4201069/), as well as my second short film (http://www.twoweekstilltheworldends.com/), which will be screening next week at the Philadelphia Film & Animation Festival. And of course feel free to say hi on my wall or via message! I'm interested in meeting people of pretty much any relevant talent/skills/background.
Hello, your ideas sound really good. I find myself along those same lines of interest. My talent is writing and photography, currently using a Canon D30 still. I have co-written a feature film in Canada a few years ago. But want to get back to my own writing soon. Lets keep in touch maybe we can collaborate. Diane Knaus
Thanks, Diane! What was your feature about? Was it ever produced?

Yes it was produced and shown in Canada to a limited audience. Not sure what ever happened to the project as I am not in touch with the producer anymore. He was not reliable in many ways. But, I got the credit for co-author. I do have a script that I'd like to get produced, has been registered and all that. Just have to get the time to put it out for readings, which I really need to do soon. It was read and have gotten some good feedback from one of the festivals. Have a good night its late for me and have to rise early tomorrow.
Love your focus on those themes Ella.
Thanks, Michael!
Hey Ella, Good to see like minded people on S32. I am a screenwriter and have a bundle of shorts produced and in per-production. Just completed a Comedy Sitcom and two features. Busy Busy Busy. Also have a competition intended short script that the option just expired, bounced back to me. Might consider producing it myself though its new territory for me. Regards Alex
