Chris Stevenson, here. I'm a novelist writing in the genres of SF, fantasy, paranormal romance, urban fantasy, horror, thriller and YA. I've been writing for 24 years and have nine titles up on Amazon. My YA distopian,The Girl They Sold to the Moon, just took the first place grand prize in a novel writing contest. I've penned and published short stories, radio plays and non-fiction books. Looking for a reputable book packager for a series writing position or movie novelization. I write with strong visuals with a Disney-esque flavor.
Hello Chris! I love your eclectic genres! Good to see another author who doesn't want to be pigeon holed!! I've published a children's book, a creative excercise book and am in the process of publishing a vampire slayer novel, editing a Psychic thriller and working on the sequel! My agent says I "need to focus". Pfft. I need to write ;)

Oh, goodness, Heidi. Looks like we're traveling down the same road. I am SOOOOOO all over the genre map--auto repair manual, garage sale book, werewolf novel, paranormal romance, a SF series. My agents says, "Dear Lawd, I've got to throw all of this against the wall and see where it sticks. Then we'll know who you really are."
Sounds like so much fun! I like throwing things against the wall, as long as I'm not the one who has to clean up the mess ;) Perhaps eclectic genius IS who you are! I just tell my agent to roll with it XD

Yes, we're genius. That's the ticket. My agent loves all of my books and is "stagger" submitting them. So I can't complain.
Hi, Cord. I love it all too, and I'm 60! I've got two with fantasy elements that you might like. The War Gate is a fantasy thriller here: http://www.amazon.com/The-War-Gate-ebook/dp/B008SDVEQU/ref=sr_1_3?s=digi... The Wolfen Strain is a Crichton-esque fantasy thriller and you can find it here: http://www.amazon.com/The-Wolfen-Strain-ebook/dp/B008G0PE2U/ref=sr_1_6?s...
Hope you enjoy it, Cord. Tell me what you think of the Wax Man. I think he deserves a book by himself, so I've been told.
Hi, Cord. I believe they have a Cloud Reader option to read the Kindle version. You only have to click on that tab to download the Cloud device. I don't have a Kindle either, and that's the option I got so I could read the text. If you have a problem with that, email me at stevenson_333@msn.com and I'll send you the formatted copy and the cover. Thanks for springing for it. I think you'll find it very different.
Typically, when a work is available on Amazon as an independent author, it's available through Kindle, Barnes and Noble, and Createspace. I only know this because I have released a children's series and pretty much learned the ropes the hard way. Perhaps revamping your input, Chris, would help you in spreading the word a bit better. :) (author of "Hazards of Eris" series)
@Cord - I primarily read on my phone - white text on a black background. Kindle's virtual paper is very low light.
That's good advice, chelle. I'm looking into other social media outlets, as well as exploring some targeted genre groups.

Hi everybody! I love to read and I also write. Now, I'm almost finishing a magic realism novel, but I have difficulties to find one editorial that publishes in Spanish. And I have to write in spanish because is my native language and my English is not good enough to write. Do you know who I should contact? Thanks a in advance!
Books are for reading, phones and pads are for calls and emails, nothing like a real book
Print will never go out of style. You own the book. With e-books, you're licensed to read them--they can poof in an electronic seizure then you have to reapply for them.
