Introduce Yourself : Editor and short story writer by Graham C Hodgson

Graham C Hodgson

Editor and short story writer

Hi all, I'm Graham C Hodgson. I live in the UK and I'm the joint Editor, writer and publisher of the satirical magazine, The Inconsequential, which I'm pleased to say has a healthy following in the US, especially New York and LA. I've written several short stories, a few of which have been serialised in the magazine. I'm hoping someone will realise the potential of one of them, The Homecoming, a sci-fi story in the style of Ray Bradbury, and consider the possibility of producing a screenplay and turning it into a blockbuster! The Inconsequential does appear in a printed form, but you can view it online at www.theinconsequential.org for free. Please take a look, leave some comments and if you would like to use anything you see, please be my guest.

That was a very interesting read, Nandia. It made me want to carry on until the end, which can only be a good thing! The usual practice is to give every character's speech a new line, so try that. Also, it might be an idea to convey the action and emotions of a scene through the dialogue or the way a character performs certain tasks, rather than spell it out to your readers. Always give your reader a chance to think for themselves about a situation. This also serves to keep them guessing and introduces a little suspense. Good work, though.
