My name is Rocharlotte and I am a recent graduate from Louisiana State University’s Theatre Design/ Technology program. I am an aspiring costume designer and multimedia artist. Check out some of my work on my online portfolio at www.shownd.com/rocharlotte Combining body paint, makeup, clothes, and wigs is my favorite design opportunity because all-encompassing character designs where I decide every aspect of a person and/or creature’s life are my ultimate fantasy. I have worked on thirteen productions both as a designer and crewmember during my seven semesters as a theatre design/ technology major at LSU. I have costume designed four lab productions, assisted with costumes for a Main Stage production, designed hair and makeup for ten productions, body painted an aerial silks production, and styled wigs for two productions. I have also been fortunate enough to work on three Swine Palace (LSU’s on-campus professional theatre) productions, once as a designer and twice as a crewmember, light board operator, and wardrobe head. As an artist, these hands-on experiences have radically improved my artistic and technical abilities. However, my classes have also had a huge impact on my creative and technical skills. Courses in costume design/construction, stage makeup/wigs, scenic painting, hand/computer drafting, and theatre history have helped to make me a well-rounded theatre artist. I landed my first movie gig/ feature film two months out of college as their Costume Designer/ Wardrobe Head on The Monkey's Paw. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have! <3 Rocharlotte
