I'm Martha Hazzard Decker and so me of my friends call me MadDog. When I was as assistant chief of police they even called me Slash because I did so many different things and I haven't figured out what to do when I grow up. I'm a retired photojournalist and am m o longer a retired writer. I have several blogs or websites I manage, write for examiner.com under Dallas Paranormal, have a radio show I haven't used to broadcast yet, have a serious but fun loving paranormal group, work for the State of TX and would love to retire sooner than later, speak at paranormal conferences and on radio shows. Remember the days of Public Access TV? I managed to be the first person in the Dallas area to check out the "Qube" van as we called in in the eighties. Not it's just the live remote van. The show was Ray Wylie Hubbard Live at Dallas Palace. I had a crew of 12, three cameras - two stationary and one not. I produced, worked one of the cameras when the operator was "released" from duty because he got drunk. The show took us about 12 hours to shoot and once it was released it was just as good as anything else out there. This was just as VCRs were coming into being and I didn't have one so I don't have a copy of this show. That's one of my biggest regrets. I stating shooting rock concerts in Memphis, TN at 18 for Mid South Productions and shot for a year before moving to TX. It was a blast and I got to hang with everyone from David Bowie to Frank Zappa. In fact I had to drive Zappa around because I had the nicest car and he was left at the convention center by the show producer. My mistake was putting the camera down after the concert and not getting the really amazing shots I could have done during the rest of the evening. I've spent over 25 years in one form of investigation or another, won an AP award for specialty reporting and have finally learned to say no when needed. I'm always up for a good adventure, have an imagination and love to travel. I'm 58 and have at least that many years to go before thinking about settling down in the porch rocker. Nice to meet y'all.....
