Filmmaking / Directing : WALL-E Writer/Director Andrew Stanton on Cinematic Storytelling by Edwin Adrian Nieves

WALL-E Writer/Director Andrew Stanton on Cinematic Storytelling

If you're a filmmaker, this is 20 minutes well spent, and should actually be mandatory to see. http://goo.gl/RGS92 Andrew Stanton, writer and director of WALL-E, shares his ideas on cinematic storytelling: "Storytelling without dialogue is the purest form of cinematic storytelling. It’s the most inclusive approach you can take. It confirms something I really had a hunch on, it’s that the audience actually wants to work for their meal. They just don’t want to know that they’re doing that. That’s your job as a storyteller, is to hide the fact that your making them work for their meal."

Great link, indeed. I actually rate Wall-E as my favorite animated feature, due it's profound and unique cinematic visuals. Of course, the love story hit home in a sweet and tender way
