Advice for self-distribution

Hello fellow Stage 32 colleagues. We are seeking any advice from those who have experience self-distributing films. "Moment of Truth: The Andy Meyers Story" was written and directed by Steven Canfield Crowley and has experienced a good run in various festivals and had profound audience response. MOT has won over 25 awards including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, etc. We retained a Film Sales Agent to no avail and want to get Moment of Truth to a wider audience. If any of you have ideas on how we might accomplish this, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Rick

Laurence Williams

We made this film with £9,000, over 260 people involved, it can be done and we did it http://youtu.be/5jvJ8Oy9-Ac

Olivier Pfeiffer

Rick, we're launching a new DIY site which proved to be successful for a number of movies over the summer like http://newyorkdollfilm.com/ or https://monetize.pumit.com/watch/112979. We have some tools like the automated creation of a VOD store on Facebook. YOu get 100% of revenues on your Paypal account. If you have some fans you will be able to leverage them. Try it, it's free for 30 days! go to: monetize.pumit.com (beta site) Let me know what you think.

Evan Marlowe

Have you read Think Outside the Box Office?

Rick Haymes

I haven't Evan, but thanks for mentioning it. I will.

Rick Haymes

Thanks you Jie-Ming and Trinidad, I appreciate it.

Hi Rick, I know this isn't exactly what you asked, but Kaleigh Group Entertainment is now accepting films for distribution. We have traditional and Out of the Box distribution channels. We get paid commission, so there are NO up front fees. I would like to discuss this with you. Contact me if you are interested.
