Hello everyone. I've been looking for ways to move my writing to the cloud. My life grows more mobile and I want to be able to write and edit from multiple devices. Does anyone here use Celtx? What do you think of it?
Dropbox, then pick-your-app(s). Alternatively, SimpleNote as a cloud store, then various apps (e.g. Notational Velocity) for working. I'm kicking the tires on Scrivener (terrific) - Dropbox is kind of a given.
Not a big fan of Celtx... Especially dealing with their cloud.. I lost some writings because of sync issues using their cloud. Best cloud services that auto syncs files is Box. They have a desktop app that syncs wherever you have it installed. I just save to my Box desktop file, and then all my devices have the same file within minutes. Good luck
Dropbox syncs continuously, from each device. SimpleNote does likewise, although it's a far more limited service. I also run Google Drive and Microsoft's SkyDrive (who you calling a geek :-). The latter two are quite good, less expensive storage-wise, but not quite as ubiquitous or integrated as Dropbox. For your use case, frankly, you could try all 3 in their free incarnation.

If you go that route, don't you need to resync with your home files every time?
I prefer Final Draft.

Re Celtx - a single-purpose cloud makes about as much sense as buying one generator for your laptop, another for your fridge, etc. etc.
Celtx is the only thing I use. :D
