Your Melissa Ede...nobody else is. Find a local theater group and audition. If you want to be an actor, act. There are opportunities around, even though they don't alwayd pay or lead to fame. You gotta start somewhere.

Melissa you need to believe in yourself. There is no such thing as a nobody. We are all unique with our own talents. Okay, not everybody is going to become a famous actor/director/singer/writer but at the end of the day it's what we think of what we achieve that matters. Maybe try some positive affirmations.

Dorothea can you not see what i put "Im a nobody" worked as i wanted it too its not about the words you put ! its how you place them :) And acting is a performance so i disagree with you on that about reality people not being actors :)

Melissa find some good classes where you live and go and study. Then you'll be a nobody with the skills to get somewhere. And that can lead darn near anywhere. Lots of luck

Take classes, find meetings with other actors, screenwriters, directors on sites like meetup.com. do ANYTHING, just to get familiar with how the industry works... A small part can open bigger opportunities even if it's getting the crew coffee lol but believe in yourself and never sell yourself short! (Meaning, dont think your nevr gonna make it cuz with that mindset you wont) Good luck!

I do believe in myself and the only trouble is i work, sixteen hours a day as a taxi driver, three hours a day networking trying to find opportunitys the rest is spent between chores and sleep, Any ideas ? Thank you all for comments so far :)

Contact your local casting directors . I started doing that like last month and meeting up with them, and one of the organizers for our local film society just found work for me like an hour ago about doing a commercial in San Fran, I'll link the producers name in a message and the company, but it's a commercial shot one day , union and non union pay, travels and accommodations covered. So little stuff like that is good. Remember you do not pay for anything , they pay you for your talent. So if you come across a gig wanting you to spend your money , it's a scam. Anyways, that right there I know will work and I'm the same way I am fairly new to this industry.

No problem, I'm not greedy, I would go out of my way if I could to help someone because I was and still am that person just starting and the person who mentioned it to me, I know she put her time aside and put me in consideration when I asked her for advice and help. Got to be humble , don't burn bridges with ANYONE, and last but not least, no job in this industry is too small, it will help in the future . I can't emphasize on it enough

Ugh... Every body in this business is referred to as a nobody, Dorothea. Even if you have done things before, you are still a nobody until you are a somebody and even the somebody's eventually become nobodies.

So this weekend i woild like to start a new conversation :) I truly hope you will all get invilved again
