Introduce Yourself : Pianist/composer by Tim O'Steen

Hello people. Here at my studio I compose, teach, record, got some good projects going. First and foremost I am a creator of music and a pianist. My site offers some examples of my work that you can listen to--preludemusicarts.com -- I pride myself on versatility of styles and the ability to understand how music affects people in a specific context. The music segment on my site that incorporates banjo--going home again--depicts a scene where, after a black man has left 1960s Mississippi and gone north to make his way, returns later in life to the shanty home of his childhood. He moves from room to room and pictures in his mind, memories of the happy time, then turns and walks away down a dirt road. What happened up north becomes the curious subject no? Is it not true that a genuine artist, someone who really lives it, understands that no matter how heartwrentching or disappointing life gets, even on a continuing basis, life is unbelievably beautiful. You film people should know what Meg Ryan said in "Joe vs" about people who go through life in a state of constant amazement. What a gift. Anyway, that is what's going on here this Friday night.
