Anything Goes : What are your favorite movies about Americans Indians? by Vasco Phillip de Sousa

Vasco Phillip de Sousa

What are your favorite movies about Americans Indians?

I like Smoke Signals and Frozen River, they remind me of life on the Rez. The "John Wayne's teeth" song was hilarious. I think I'm one of the few people who actually enjoyed Windtalkers, it was a bit far fetched, but then aren't many other war films?

Philip Sedgwick

Smoke Signals is top of the line. I also liked Dances with Wolves, The Last of His Tribe, Black Robe and Thunderheart.

Philip Sedgwick

Oh, and Powwow Highway.

Anthony Vercoe

I liked Little Big Man, with Dustin Hoffman.

James Holzrichter

The most accurate for the period was, "The Last of the Mohicans." And it is still my favorite.

Marcelo Quinonez

Fast Runner. Also take a peek at the documentary Reel Injun. Great history of Native Americans in Hollywood http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0285441/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1484114/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

James Holzrichter

The new version is very accurate as far as the native americans are portrayed. I can't remember the old version myself lol

Angelica R. Turner

I liked Wind Talkers too! Also like, Last of the Mohicans, Dances with Wolves, and Geronimo. IN Animation I like Spirit and Brother Bear.

Julie Meitz

Jim Jarmusch's DEAD MAN (1995): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112817/?ref_=nm_knf_i3

Suzanne Bronson

Windtalkers, Smoke Signals, and the Last of the Mohicans. And A new World.
