Ack! I always miss these intro weekends. So, I've recently moved from Boston to Sacramento. I'm beginning pre-pro on a 3-4 minute dark comedy, animated short film. Meeting a lot of good people but worried I won't be able to make the deadline for the festival I originally wrote it for. Never having worked with animation before, I'm learning that it takes a huge amount of work. I'm open to anything from hand-drawn to 3D (don't want it realistic, though) if anyone out there is interested. Looking for sound and foley wizards, too. Hmmm, let's see if I can post my last short here.... http://www.vimeo.com/truce

Nope, didn't do it and no time to figure it out. Maybe later...
Hi Sharon! Depending on the type of animation and deadline, I may be able to help. I'm currently in the process of learning 3D (haven't gotten far enough to actually produce animation yet) but I primarily work with digital 2D animation. You can check out the reel that I posted on my profile if you'd like. And I would love to see your last short if at all possible. :-)
Hi, Chris! I'll definitely check out your reel. You can see my last short under my first post here, next to the big green smiley face. The http://vimeo.com/truce is a clickable link (as the one I just typed here may be for all I know).
Really nice work, Chris. Since my short is in a graveyard I could see the style in your completed horror animation working for it, although in 2D it might be hard to get all the shots I want. I can send you the script if you want to look at it.
Thank you! I can completely imagine what you mean by possibly not being able to get the shots that you want using 2D, but I would definitely love to see the script if that's okay. chris3nt@gmail.com is my email address. By the way, I absolutely loved Truce! It was so amazing!
Thanks, Chris, we had a phenomenal amount of fun making Truce. The actor/comedian who played all the shrinks improvised quite a bit, and there would be a hush in the room until the second I said "Cut!" and then everyone would just burst into laughter. I'm surprised we could actually finish a scene. That's what makes filmmaking such a blast, isn't it? So, I went ahead and uploaded the script here. It's copyrighted and I'm not off to the Oscars with it, so I figured I might as well. Let me know what you think.
