I'm getting head shots done this weekend and was wondering what are some good ideas and bad ideas about head shots. for instance is eye make up a no no? what do you think can make my headshot stand out? what makes it common and boring? or anything else...

If you can afford it, a make up artist who knows head shots can make you look like YOU but a little better. Your headshot still has to look like you and it should be a headshot - not with hands or distracting backgrounds. No crazy prints or huge earrings. Basically nothing distracting. You want your uniqueness to shine through.
