Hollywood will hijack Kickstarter, just watch it. There is no way for indie filmmakers to compete with Star Power and Big Money. Crowds will flock to things they recognize - old TV shows, known stars etc.
I like going to see movies on the Big Screen, not always at home... and I hope others do, too.

Great post. I do believe Kiskstarter and other crowd-funding platforms are a force to be reckoned with.
