Introduce Yourself : Hello by Scott Andrew Hutchins

Hi. I joined yesterday. I have a B.A. in English and communication with a film concentration. I worked with Bunk Films in Indianapolis for a time, then made a segment for WFYI, the local PBS affiliate. I then went to New York and earned a master's degree in cinema. Since then I have been cast in several operas, and have gotten more deeply into composing. I haven't had the resources to produce film work outside of school, so I am looking for a producer. I have written three plays, five screenplays, a novel, and shorter works. I would also like to finish the post on my student films to make them available, since my demo reel currently consists solely of the PBS segment. One of my grad school colleagues brought me to Jacksonville, Florida to work with him, only to fire me for failing to read his mind after 3 and a half months at an $18,000 salary. I'm now back in NYC making $112 per week on unemployment and living in a homeless shelter until I can get a job and move out. My belongings are all in storage, including untyped manuscripts. I have problems in my back and legs that restrict me to a desk job, so I'm having trouble getting a stopgap job and being a DP is a problem, but I did do some freelance editing late in 2012.
