Personally, as long as I don't have to be always online to use the software, I think it's great. I'm still on CS4 Master Collection, because I couldn't afford to upgrade. $50 bucks a month, that adds up to $600 a year, is definitely cheaper then paying $600 all at once. It actually puts it more in my price range.
??? $600 is $600, neither is cheaper. I also don't like the idea of the rates arbitrarily changing, so I lose access to my work, all on the whim of a company.
You have your enthusiasm, I have my reservations. I also hate being forced into this 'cloud' - I prefer to spend my $1500 when I want to, take upgrades as I feel like, and not have yet another recurring monthly bill.
I hate the idea of renting software. Of being somewhere without net access at the wrong time, and not being able to complete my work.
