Getting the BEST Story Possible - Collaborative Article for Magazine

Hi, I'm working on a collaborative article for my upcoming magazine, Guerrilla Filmmaking Magazine. This article discusses Tips, Tricks, and Cheats to the top 10 hurdles of independent filmmaking. The first issue I am collecting quotes for is STORY. I will be collecting the best tips, tricks, and cheats for the article. Get your name in magazine! :D Here's what I've got so far: STORY - One of the most important and difficult - if not THE most important and THE most difficult - hurdle of independent filmmaking is a getting a GREAT story. A great story can overcome nearly all other obstacles. Here are some tips, tricks, and cheats to getting a great story: "Try collaborating on a film idea. Not all of us are natural writers. Find someone who sees your vision the same way you do, and collaborate on the writing proceess" - James W., Seattle, WA "Go to a site like Stage32.com, ScriptBuddy.com, or FilmBreak.com and find a good idea. Contact the user and work out a deal." Joel P., Orlando, FL "Easy! Let lots of people read your stuff, then LISTEN to what they have to say. It's all about being open minded" - Jen L., Sacramento, CA "Rewrites, rewrites, rewrites" - Doug A., New York, NY What's your tip, trick, or cheat?
