I'm an author who adapted his novel to a script, but now I'm looking for artists to re-author the story as a comic book series or graphic novel. Where's the best place to find comic book creators?
As a huge comic nerd and producer I totally agree with going the comic book route. I know some artists but they have little time to spare so it would have to be a paying gig for them. You can also go to the "gigs" section on craigslist and post (for free) to look for artists closer to you. Also, look at comic book fan sites for books that you are looking at for similar art (for example- if you like the artwork on say, the Daredevil comic book go to Jinxworld.com -one of the Daredevil writers websites and join the community there and ask for help). Contact me if I can help you at all! I can't draw but I know A TON of artists :)
Wow. Thanks for the specific suggestions on how to find artists. Some of the comics have a feminist-as-superhero theme, so a top priority is finding women artists.
