Animation : Getting my project to the right studio... by Jay Spence

Getting my project to the right studio...

hello everyone! I have an original anime show concept I have written and gotten concept art made up for, which can be seen on my page, but I am curious to know if anyone knows which studios accept anime ideas outside of their company?

Adrian Sierkowski

Very very very few, if any. Best bet would be to try to do a pilot yourself and build up a following and then they can come to you. Of course animation is very very very time intensive.... perhaps make it a webcomic? Pretty much every studio-- and this is for film not for animie ect--- get such a bulk of material they hardly, if ever, read any of it.

If you need assistance with the audio for this project my team is definitely interested.

Try looking into getting it published as a comic, or a manga if you can find a company on that side of the world that accepts submissions. Once it is published, then it is easier to license and build interest for. Also easier to raise crowdfunding if you have a legion of fans of a published work, instead of starting from scratch. Best of luck!

What age is this for? Is it a Pokemon style Anime? Might know of someone who can help.

Unfortunately Jay the studios that are into Anime are overloaded with amazing talent that is trained to deliver the specific tone they are looking for. Your concept is good but the art doesn't feel truly "anime" it has a lot of American influence in it and while that is unique it could definitely present you some serious challenges moving forward. Would love to see the manga to get a better feel for the story and style and to be able to give you some more solid suggestions on marketing possibilities.

Step one. Work as an animator for about ten years. Move up to story producing. Step three. Pitch a project.
