Filmmaking / Directing : Filming a music-movie this summer, based on a song written the day amy winehouse died by Rhonda Merrick

STRICT THE MOVICAL is centered around Song 205 of the 365 songs I wrote back in 2011. The song’s called ’27 Club’ and I wrote it the day Amy Winehouse died. The story is about Oihana, a troubled bit-part actress/waitress on the eve of her 27th birthday and the group of working class musicians and dancers who care about her. Despite their best efforts, nothing and no one seems able to steer Oihana from certain disaster. When Kathryn, her room-mate lands the leading role in an eerie music video, — Oihana decides to audition for a supporting role and that decision has a massive impact on their lives. The movie relies on music, dancing, laughter, a few tears and lots of drama… off-stage and backstage. There are no special effects.
