Just want to ask everyone who already has an agent (theatrical or commercial): How did you get one? What is your story? (Of course, if it is not "classified" information). Is having an agent increasing your auditions numbers? I am not going to do mass mailing. Well, may be just e-mail submissions to some.

I used a great woman by the name of Linda Stuart to help me . I paid her 150 bucks and sent her my reel, resume, & 4 headshots then she fixed my résumé , and shopped me around to all the agencies. In less than a week I got signed by a manager commercial and theatrical agent. (310) 954-7305 her number hit her up tell her I sent you.

Thank you, Rey! Great suggestion and a very helpful one. I'll keep that in mind. Good luck to you with all your auditions!
(Of course, if it is not "classified" information). Sounds like you've got a knack for writing to me, perhaps comedy, I loved it... :) x (Of course, if it is not "classified" information). Brilliant Alina :) x

One of the best ways to get the attention of an agent is to "showcase" your talent in a production and invite industry guests. If you've got the chops, they'll recognize it and then...

Thanks, Script Success and Eric! In my last theater production all members from our cast have sent as many invitations to industry guests as they could and no one show up. And it was one of the really good productions. So it might and might not work. Of course, it is not going to stop me from doing theater... but I am looking for other ways and your stories.
I'm learning that one can do creative things in order to get an agent, maybe have the production sent to them, that way they'll see your performance and might visit or call to arrange a meet.
