I've been thinking of making the jump from NY to LA since almost all the animation work is there. Anyone else take that plunge? Please feel free to review my voice samples and more information about me at www.stevesvoiceovers.com. Thank you for your time and consideration. Have you done any training by LA instructors. I am a voice actor on the east coast as well and I have trained with professionals all over the country. My demo was produced in NY. LA instructors and professionals warn that make in LA versus east coast is different and to be successful you need a exceptional demo produced by someone that understand the LA market. If you haven't a great resource to what is going on in LA and how to know that you are ready is to check out www.vobuzzweekly.com . This show is an awesome resource to help you make that decision and get the inside scoop on VO in LA. Good luck! I hope to leap into LA animation too at some point. Just trying to get my VO business more consistent first so that I can be prepared for LA. :)

Thanks for the reply and the information. I've trained with a good number of folks including Rob Paulsen. I listen to vobuzzweekly as well and I'd suggest you check out www.robpaulsenlive.com and download his podcasts. There's a great amount of information in there about the animation VO business. Good luck to you too, Moniece!!
NP and thanks! That's awesome Rob is on my list of "people to learn from." I did a workshop with Stevie Vallance a few months ago which was amazing. She is a casting director in addition to doing VO in LA now so she has good insight from point of view. Plus she likes to pull talent from class and keep in touch. www.toonedin.ca
