Hi Nikki, If you subscribe to the emails at freedomwithwriting.com, you'll get more resources and information than you can act on! And they're all legit. Good luck! Angelique
would strongly advise to be careful about using Craig's List - especially in the 'writing gigs' section because that's where the thieves lurk. They 'say' they're producers or a production group, but never identify themselves, so it's a very good way to lose your script to an unscrupulous person who will take your script, rename it, produce it on the fly for the direct to dvd market and you'll never see a penny. And forget about trying to sue them because first, you'll be lucky to even find them, especially if they're in a foreign company and these are the kind of companies that change their names daily to avoid being caught.
Sorry, but the same problems are in your scenario. NEVER take on a writing assignment like that without first meeting the person, face-to-face, preferably in their office and always get a contract before you type one word. I have seen too many cases were the writer is 'hired' to write a script, then asked to do rewrites and then more rewrites before being told they don't want the script and you end up without a penny for your work and meanwhile, they have a finished script.
No I haven't. I'll check it out. A lot of these sites I've researched are scams. It's sad.
Elance is a decent website

Everywhere on Talentville, they talk about charges for membership, so it looks like the 'free' stuff is very limited
agree, freedomwithwriting is more scam than reality
craigslist, Stage32. Not necessarily in that order.

Leonard, I agree with your statement, but I was referring to finding folks who want you to write them a script, not to give them your own script.
